Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Thingsilove203!
Three questions with Terri & Dori, founders of Thingsilove203.
Why did you start your business?
We have spent our lives being incredibly passionate and focused on fashion and home interiors. The ability to slow down and reflect during the pandemic created the perfect storm for the crystallization of Thingsilove203. With an initial focus on content, the business soon evolved into an e-commerce platform.
Thingsilove203 is built on luxury style and design. We source the finest work from emerging and cutting-edge International artists and craftspeople.
What is your best-selling product/service?
Our best-selling products include art glass from France, acrylic vases from England, dip dye candles from Germany, luxury leather handbags from Ukraine, and edgy fashion accessories from Israel.
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
In November 2020, we began posting daily inspirational images on our Instagram feed, highlighting the amazing worlds of luxury fashion and high-end interiors. Our focus shift and revised business model were defined many months later when we discovered an art glass company out of France, producing exquisite, original works of art. We contacted the artists about selling their work, and our new direction took flight from there.
Terri and Dori would like to nominate Local Luxe Co. to be featured next!
