A highly acclaimed English designer known for his exceptional work in furniture and product design, Aaron Probyn is a name to know. His work is characterized by clean lines, functional forms, and a deep understanding of materials. His designs have been featured in numerous exhibitions and have won several awards, including the Design Guild Mark and the Elle Decoration International Design Award. He has partnered with prestigious companies including ABC Carpet & Home, Waterford, Crate & Barrel, IKEA and West Elm. 

How did he get into design?

Probyn grew up in London and left school at 16, feeling drawn to carpentry and no longer interested in basic education. He began collecting furniture and refurbishing it to sell at the famous Portobello Market.  With a clearer understanding of self and a vision for his future, he re-entered school studying Product and Furniture at Kingston University. 

Probyn continues to create innovative and inspiring designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and practical. With an eye for tabletop accessories, glass, and, most recently, lighting, Aaron Probyn is a force in the design world.   His RYE collection can be purchased here and just in time for Father’s Day!  Named after his favorite bourbon– the RYE collection hints at casual, everyday drinkware to enjoy.  The stemless glasses are beautiful to look at, sculptural and sleek and the matching carafe elevates the design.
