Dori Bomback and Terri Jaffe spent 2020 like many of us did — lots of walking. That, of course, also meant lots of talking, and all that turned into brainstorming and eventually hatched an idea about a new business: THINGSILOVE203. “Using our extensive backgrounds in luxury fashion and home interiors, we decided to share the imagery that speaks to us—simply put, THINGS WE LOVE,” says Terri. “The 203 is an homage to our hometown, Westport, Connecticut.”

“THINGSILOVE203 draws on our international upbringing,” says Dori, who was raised in the US and Switzerland to an American mother and Israeli father. Terri was raised in Cape Town and educated in South Africa and New York. Both women studied art history and worked in couture fashion, high-end contemporary furniture and interior design. These varied influences—different and in synch—shape the collection they now curate and fuel their “passion for finding rare and undiscovered objects of beauty and craftsmanship,” adds Dori.

The business was launched in November 2020 on Instagram @thingsilove203 and has grown into a beautiful feed with a mood-board feel. Their brand emerged this past spring also as their site, thingsilove203.com, with the promise: “We strive to bring you an amalgamation of creativity, art, and both avant garde and classic fashion and interiors. Our journey will take you around the globe from runways to forests, from pulsing cities to remote islands.”

You can shop what they call global boutiques—such as:

Candles and home fragrance from Cousu de Fil Blanc

Five sunglass styles from ENKI

Woven handbags in five color combinations, including sky blue, pink, gray and white, from Mamy Bag

You can have your favorites shipped to you or, at least in some cases, pick up locally.

“Our focus is on research-based content that accompanies breathtaking and alluring imagery of high-end interior design, architecture and cutting-edge fashion—runway and street,” Dori sums up. “Currently, none of our product is available stateside. We feature International artisans and craftsmen. Our raison d’etre is to find lesser-known, emerging designers/artists/companies to represent.”

While purposely limited, the collection continues to grow, and we’ll be watching.
